Savoring the Hues of Late Autumn

Black-Eyed Susans and Sedum, Autumn
Black-Eyed Susans and Sedum, Autumn

Late autumn has arrived here in New England. Mother nature delivered a magical display of vivid colors this fall. As the season winds down, there are still remnants of vibrant color to be found and I find myself seeking these out and spending time savoring the warm fall colors that remain.

In my flower gardens there are small pockets protected from the frost and color is still poking through. These flowers brighten the day with rich late autumn hues. I wanted to honor this welcomed gift of color while painting “Black-Eyed Susans and Sedum, Autumn.”

Enjoy the visual richness of the end of this season!
