Spring Marsh Color Fling

Coastal marshes are delightful subject matter to paint in any style. I find the abstracted and geometric shapes of the marshes ideal for simplifying the scenes in a loose, expressionistic way. This piece is part of a series exploring these vital elements of the coastal ecosystem.

This painting was part of my recent Estuary Colorscapes solo exhibition at the Gantner Gallery in Essex, CT.
