When visiting the edge of the ocean, I find the time around the low tide to be the most intriguing. Each low tide reveals underwater secrets and the abstract shapes of the rocks at the edge of the beach are compelling subject matter for a meditative painting. For the composition for Meandering Currents, Low Tide, I wanted to take close-in perspective of the patterns of light, shapes and energy of the day.
