This painting explores the calm and quiet that comes after a new layer of snow has fallen over a local stream. Wintertime inspires me to create paintings that are on the edge of abstraction in response to the simplified and abstract patterns in the landscape and bodies of water like streams and ponds. This work is part of my Snow and Stream series.
