Painting Workshop in the Botanical Gardens in Maine
I just finished teaching a 3-day painting workshop at the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens (CMBG) and what an inspiring experience! Thank you to the team at CMBG and the Pastel Society of Maine for inviting me to return to teach in this special place. The late June gardens were in full bloom and just a riot of color. The summer solstice arrived adding pure warm sunlight.
Each day students ventured into the gardens to sketch and observe nature and then returned to the beautiful classroom to work on exercises and paint fully developed works. The participants were so gracious and full of creative energy and produced colorful and inspiring pastel paintings! I am grateful to CMBG, Pastel Society of Maine, and the participants for making this such a rewarding experience for us all.
