Feature Article in INK Magazine

I am honored to have my work and the story behind my Watershed Journeys solo exhibition featured in an article in INK Magazine's April 2024 edition. The exhibition is hosted by Clare Gallery in Hartford, CT. In preparing works for the show, I explored and painted along the local rivers and waterways that sustain and connect us in our daily lives.

During this project, I witnessed the unfolding seasons and the cycle of renewal in nature. Spring and summer sprouted lush greens, and autumn’s blazing colors eventually faded into quiet winter hues. The resulting paintings are like candid portraits that reflect the rhythms of life across the ecosystem.

Wherever we reside, we live in a watershed. We are at a turning point for protecting these vital resources from the impacts of the climate crisis. In the spirit of reciprocity, offering our stewardship and friendship to Mother Nature will nourish us in return.
